I had a really beautiful Natural childbirth, with my 4th baby last year. I came away from the experience, having learned soo much, and I would definitely do it again. I have written about a lot of my experiences, and tools that I used for it here http://littlemiracleshealthandfaith.blogspot.com/ I am still in the process of writing the full actual birth story, but I wrote these other posts for encouragement for others, wanting the same experiences. I am happy to share them with those interested. 🙂

  2. LOVE these tips and great video! You’re a natural! Couldn’t agree more with tip #2! With my second daughter, I did hypnobirthing, and that was THE BIGGEST “a-ha’ moment for me when preparing for her birth. It was truly empowering to not fear the big day – something that was the complete opposite with my first. Thanks for a great video! :O)

I just had a pain medication free and intervention free birth in the hospital 2 months ago. I walked out of the deliver room 2 hours later and took no pain medication at all in the following days. It was an incredibly empowering experience, but I had no doula. I had my husband who trained with me to do husband-coached childbirth. He was with me through every contraction, and through trusting him enough to listen to what he was telling me to do, I gave birth to our beautiful daughter naturally. My husband knows me best and has been my biggest support from the beginning and I wouldn’t have anyone else there to coach me.

  4. Great tips! 🙂 My favorite resource was Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth. Hearing her wisdom on the subject and personal experiences in SO many scenarios of childbirth really helped alleviate any concern I had.

The one thing that I kept telling myself during labor was what I read somewhere, that at the point that it is SO hard and SO painful that you don’t think you can possibly do it, that’s the point you’re SO close and will be there soon so don’t give up! And it worked for me 🙂 Even though my daughter’s birth had to be in a hospital because of the insurance we had in the military at the time, I had a midwife and was able to successfully have a natural childbirth! 🙂 Yay!

    Thanks for sharing!

Natural childbirth is something I’ve been passionate about for a long time. I finally was able to experience it for myself with my first child (2 1/2 years ago). We used hypnobirthing and my husband was an amazing partner and coach. I love Ina May and read her book as well. We’re looking forward to another amazing birth experience in the next week or two with our second child!

    • Many blessings on your new baby!! I hope the birth is as wonderful as the first 🙂
We used hypnobirthing with our first as well. Loved it!
