June 2015 Stitch Fix

I’ve been using Stitch fix for the past 10 months and it’s been quite a journey. I’ve received some amazing fixes with pieces that I love and I received some stuff that isn’t my style at all. But the bottom line…it’s been SO FUN. I get so excited to receive my fix and this month was no different. So let’s see what my stylist sent me!! And don’t forget to let me know what you think about my fix in the comments below

Haven’t heard of Stitch Fix???

It’s a pretty awesome idea. First you sign up and fill out a detailed survey all about your personal style and body type. You can include specific notes about items you want and then a stylist hand selects 5 pieces that they think will suit you. They send the items to you-complete with a styling guide(with lots pictures) on how to wear each piece. They help you put together outfits from clothes you already have which is incredibly helpful.  The fee for this service is $20 but if you keep any of the items from the fix that $20  goes toward the item(s) of clothing you purchase. If you keep your entire fix you get 25% off all of the items(a significant savings). If you decide to send things back they a include a pre paid envelope making shipping FREE both ways. Sign up for stitch fix here. You are not obligated to receive a fix monthly you simply schedule a one when you want one.

Jarred Lace Detail Cap-Sleeve Blouse by Brixon Ivy

This was my favorite shirt out of the box!! So, of course I tried it on first. Unfortunately high necklines just don’t suit me because of my large bust. It looked like a giant tent on my. I loved the color and the pretty detail but it just didn’t flatter my shape. Return.

One of my favorite things about stitch fix is that I’ve learned to refine my style. When I get a box, I really only want to keep the things that I 100% LOVE. All that being said… this shirt just isn’t me. It felt very suburban soccer mom and I still want to be a little edgy! And again it was just too baggy so I felt super frumpy. RETURN

Cindie Linen Short-Level 99

I’ve gotta admit-these shorts were super cute. I loved the color and they were super soft to touch. They were also extremely flattering. I was super bummed because they were slightly too big and a little too spendy for a pair of shorts($78). Did I make a huge mistake sending them back?? RETURN.

Huntley Eyelet Knit Top by Kut From The Kloth

A picture says a thousand words. This shirt DID not suit me. I actually like the idea of it but I will never be able to pull it off. My husband actually laughed out loud when I walked outside wearing it. Not exactly the reaction you want from a clothing item. RETURN

Abella Maxi Dress by Loveappella

I like a good maxi dress but this style!! Unfortunately this just wasn’t a good one. It was too big and too short(not a good combo). My honest husband said it made me look ten pounds heavier. I didn’t have the heart to show you what it looks like from the front so I had David take a side shot.

What did you guys think?? Was I being too hard on this fix? I requested a new stylist because I don’t think mine understands quite what I’m looking for. David has a friend from college who works as a stitch fix stylist so I’ve requested her for my next fix. I’m already excited!
